Stilo Lighthouse
Stilo Lighthouse is a fascinating structure located near the village of Osetnik, formerly known as Stilo. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, it combines tradition with modernity - steel elements are connected with screws, creating a unique atmosphere inside.
Situated 10 km east of Łeba, 1000m from the sea, the lighthouse is exceptional. This 33.4-meter building in the shape of a truncated pyramid on a sixteen-sided base is set on a dune at 45m above sea level. Built on a foundation of granite and concrete, the tower is wide at the base (7.3m) and narrows at the top (3.9m). The tower features trapezoidal cast iron plates connected with screws and sealed with lead. This engineering masterpiece consists of 10 levels, with right-turning stairs between the ground floor and the upper gallery. The lighthouse is painted in three characteristic stripes - black at the bottom, white in the middle, and red at the top. The lighthouse offers a unique viewpoint of the Baltic Sea, and the light reaches a height of 75m above sea level. Its light is visible even from our Sea2 cottages, by the lake in Nowęcin. Access by car to Stilo Lighthouse takes about 25 minutes (20 km from Nowęcin/Łeba).
Stilo Opening Hours
In the months of May, June, and September, it is open from 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 18:00. In July and August, the lighthouse is open from 09:00 to 18:00. The lighthouse is accessible seven days a week during these months and visiting hours. There is a car park in the village of Osetnik, and the last section must be covered by a forest path. The distance is 650 meters, and the elevation difference from the parking lot to the lighthouse is 39 meters.
